Usually my regime takes a hit on weekends, but with just four weeks to go, I can't afford any slip ups. Worked my legs and shoulders. I had been using a workout from Men's Fitness designed to "uncover your abs before the end of summer". I like the workout so far. 3 separate weight workouts, with interval cardio on the days in between. I will have to switch it up a bit to focus on the bench and deadlift a bit more for the challenge however.&lt;br /&gt;Feels good to be back in the gym! I ate a big post workout breakfast, sausage, eggs, potatoes and a couple biscuits. Had leftovers at work. A little fatty, but it beats fast food. I have been real good on my food the last 4 days, lots of turkey sandwiches, fruit and veggies...only had a two Bud Lights last night. &lt;br /&gt;I started the program at 228.6&lt;br /&gt;I am already at 226.2&lt;br /&gt;Goal weight is right around 210 or so. See ya tomorrow. It will be hard to get my cardio in tomorrow. Church at 10, work at 12:30. The challenge will consist of a bench press competition, a one rep max deadlift, a suicide sprint drill, a 100 yard dash, and finally a 2 mile run.&lt;br /&gt;So far a group of people from work have said they are in. B-RAD, Weather Man, Moon Dogg, myself and possibly one or two others are in. The poster on this and other blogs who refers to himself as "Large Geet" has declined to enter, even after referring to me as a "300 pound slob". Apparently he realizes that his chubby frame would probably collapse if he entered, and he knows I would smoke him in the challenge.&lt;br /&gt; Here's the email he sent out, after he said Wednesday that he was "in".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;  &lt;em&gt;My strength is more than sufficient for my life's daily tasks and responsibilities..... and, my impressive endurance is only important in other areas of my life......... example: keeping up with the kids all day at Visionland, or simply keeping up with them at the pool on any given Summer day. However, I do feel I'd do decent in the quicker sprint-related competitions... since, of course, I always led my team in stolen bases in high school, I actually ran a 4.7 40-yard dash, and just like Goody's head-ache powder, I'm just plain fast! But, is that enough for me to spend some Saturday just to prove it?! I don't think so. Sincere and legitimate kudos to those who will train and prepare for this competition, and to those who just show up to give it a whirl with no preparation.... but, I hold no self worth in trying to prove that I'm "News 42's Ultimate Athlete".... unless, of course, there's some sort of legitimate prize or reward...... like, for instance, one monthly mortgage payment, a year's supply of gasoline, etc. In the meantime, let the derogatory e-mails begin from those who feel it necessary to challenge my decision and call me names. I will take it in stride, and lose no sleep over reading the insults. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to go enjoy a delicious pile of doughnuts with a large glass of icy cold milk. I'll bet a Moon Pie and an RC Cola that some people reading this e-mail will find in necessary to hurl negative insults for my decision not to compete in this competition.... but, that's life, and I'm happy to be alive! Now, on to my doughnuts&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I will be laughing, or maybe chuckling, when I win at least one of the running events...hope he has fun in the ER after slamming some fast food on his way to a third chin. One other thing, I have a feeling that when "Large Geet" lead his team in stolen bases, he was probably closer to 125 pounds than his present, post Sonic binge 185...I seriously doubt that "speed" would translate into anything better than third place in the sprint competition. BJ and I took our after pics, now we just have to have some extra time at work to get them up. It may be a couple days but they will be up soon. I have to say I am a bit disappointed at my results. I think I looked better last week than this week which really pisses me off. BJ certainly had good results, I would say he is closing in on the halfway point for him. Congratulations to BJ for sticking with it, missing only one workout in 8 weeks due to sickness. He is committed to the Nth degree to get to where he wants to be. Chris flaked again on Friday, he was supposed to bring a scale for final weigh ins, so we don't have those numbers yet either, but they will be coming soon as well. I estimate BJ lost between 35 and 40 pounds in 8 weeks! another 8 weeks like that and he will have lost a Backstreet Boy. Congrats to everybody and we will have Controller's pics as well as ours up as soon as possible, I am trying to get them up tonight but can't promise anything. That's right ladies, you will soon see the results of my "program" right here in just under a week. Week 8 starts Monday, the following weeek the pictures will be posted. Preliminary judging has already taken place, since atcontroller has already sent his pics in. Overall transformation-ADV Wags&lt;br /&gt;Upper Body-ADV Wags Abs-ADV Controller, Vascularity ADV Wags (wait till you see the garden hose like veins in my chest after a workout.) Overall winner (preliminary of course) Wags.&lt;br /&gt;Well there you have it. Its all over but the shoutin' as we say down here. Im sure controller will have some great excuses...the most important one he should come up with "I work out on a bitch-bench called the Bowflex and I only hit it 20 minutes, 3 times a week." Atcontroller better have something special up his sleeve, and I am not talking about a "power rod". Monday was weights and cardio. Tuesday cardio and today weights but no cardio. The Lipo 6 is incredible. I get a full body high off of it and I am amped to workout in the mornings. Post cardio and weights I can see the cuts already. My nutrition is also dialed in big time. I am going with a 200-150 protein to carbs ratio for this week, 200-100 for week 7 and 200-50 for week 8. I feel great, my workouts are going well and my cardio is awesome. This so called "contest" is going to be a joke, even with "controller's" extra two week scam he is running. The people will see that you don't need gadgets, power rods, swiss balls and all that nonsense to be ripped to the bone. All you need is drive, discipline and a baddass set of free weights. Look forward to seeing your "results".&lt;br /&gt;On a side note...for the judging of this little shindig... we will judge overall weight loss, not a big point of competition but it will be judged. Iam sure by the end I will only have lost maybe 10 pounds but whatever. Body fat percentage, overall transformation, the biggest judging point for sure, and overall physique, not taking into consideration the before pics, just merely where you are today. After Friday's workout we will switch to a full circuit, Monday, Wednesday, friday split with interval cardion training and abs on off days. I am dialed in on my nutrition and this comes just in time as my new supplements arrived today. My Lipo-6 should kick help me melt away those last unwanted pounds to reveal my ripped 6er. I also got a new vat of optimum whey. I am combining this whey with the lipo 6 and of course the greatest supp on the face of the earth, ZMA. After my 8 weeks is complete I will get back on my Creastack/Monohydrate. I would get back on it now but I am afraid of the burst in water retention that comes with the loading phase.&lt;br /&gt;I am also dialing in my cardio. Interval training on Tuesday and Thursdays as well as one weekend day. This will bump up to 5 days a week next week.&lt;br /&gt;I am quite confident that my results will spoil all the "hard" work that atcontroller has thrown down. He will be crying on his swiss ball when he sees the results one can achieve when they actually lift real weights. Vinson has lost 6 pounds and more importantly is seeing gains in his upper body. I am down about 7 pounds of body fat and am really starting to see my abs coming in. Week five will bring an extra amount of cardio as well as my beginning of my Lipo 6 cycle. My supplement order is due to arrive Wednesday and that combined with a sick amount of cardio should really put me over the top. Stay tuned for a briliant full page HOP ad done by BJ. It will feature our new logo as well as testimonials from some of our famous clientele. Jay Cutler, Ronnie, The Oak...apparently all got their start at the HOP from what I am reading and we have pics to prove it. Photos and quotes featuring me standning side by side these pros in front of our wall logo which was designed by Wages during the gym's conception. Awesome for sure. You wont see any of these guys on a Bowflex I might add! I look forward to seeing your pics atcontroller. Im sure when I see your laughable results, I will be able to take a break from all this cardio and eat some Krispy Kremes just to make it a competition. There is no possible way you are working as hard as I am. Not a knock on you, just you don't have access to the training facility that I do, thats all.&lt;br /&gt;BJ is looking good, we are upping his cardio from 8 miles a week to 10 for week five and will continue to increase until the end of week 8.&lt;br /&gt;After this week we will switch from our superset workout to a full circuit in order to increase fat burning. Nutrition is going well, I drank a lot at our weekly poker game last night, but I get a free day, so no big deal. The poker game is also helping me fund my supplements as I take a cut of the entry fees before the pot is tallied. It helps that I have won two out of three games as well. The worst morning of the week for me by far. It is all I can do to drag my ass out of bed...it sucks. I did have a good workout though. Some minor knee pain from my squats has been bothering me, but nothing major. I ran a little more than a mile and did stadium steps with Chris yesterday...solid cardio for sure. I am seeing more cuts in my chest, especially near my collarbone. My tris are coming in niceley and my arms are looking ok. My legs continue to shred out at a good rate. We are not doing regular weigh ins, as I think body compositionn is more important. I am certainly seeing gains, as are the other guys. I think we are all on target for sure. We kicked ass today on our full body superset program. I walked on the treadmill in between sets to keep the HB up. We are sending a supplement order off to pick up some more Whey and we are also trying out Markus Ruhl sponsored "Lipo 6" fat burner. I finished my Animal Cuts this week and need something else, cuz I am a placebo junkie. I am down to 218 from 224, but the main difference is my body composition. I am seeing good results in my upper body, better than last week and my legs continue to shred out at an unbeleivable pace. I think intorducing jump squats to my leg workout has accelerated the process because I have never had these gains this quick...it's awesome. We have before pics of BJ and myself, Chris will get his tomorrow. The images will be here soon I promise. Week 3 is about to begin and things are going well. I picked up a treadmill at a garage sale this week so my cardio will step up big time. We are switching to a full body circuit three times a week and meeting at a local track on Tuesday and Thursday for stadium steps and running. I think with the increase in focus on cardio as well as full circuit training, the results should begin to show this week for sure. I can already see mild results in my upper body and some impressive cuts in my quads. Hey Bowflex spokesman...how about emailing me some pics if your results are so outstanding and we will let the viewers decide! I'll gladly post your before pics and then your afters...after 8 weeks we will let the world decide what gets better results...the HOP or the gadgets. Let the games begin if you man enough!! I could barely drag my ass out of bed, let alone workout...or so I thought. I nearly cancelled but the thought of BJ standing on my porch for an hour before leaving was unnacceptable, so I got up. Millican felt the same way but we trudged down the stairs to the dungeon and tore that place up. After getting some motivation from a little Trick Daddy and some old school White Zombie I was ready to rock. We circuited Dumbbell jump squats, calf raises, walking lunges and also hit triceps at the end. This was all coming off the most impressive upper body workout we have had so far on Wednesday. Nutrition is going well, all the coworkers are in awe as I pack away three meals at work, chicken breasts, baked potatoes and broccoli are a staple. When I am asked what is in my protein drink I simply reply "some illegal THG with a little other home brew", that usually shuts the fatties up.&lt;br /&gt;Some sad news to report out of the HOP as well. As you noticed I didn't mention Chris's name in the above workout. This is because the pansy never showed up. Apparently BJ and I are the only ones who are truly committed to the House. I am sorry to say that I will be forced to review his membership if this happens again. No call, no show, no ripped muscles! If I have to drag my tired ass out of bed and workout because I think those guys will be waiting on my porch and he is no there...there will be a termination of a gym membership.&lt;br /&gt;The dues for the membership are simple as are the rules of the gym so let me review.&lt;br /&gt;Blood, Sweat and Tears are due upon arrival. This is a lifetime membership...blood in, blood out.
